Highest Engineering Levels
From the very beginning, Ping has focused on delivering excellence in our technical engineering services. We know that our customers time is precious, and their infrastructures are critical. When we are engaged to produce a program of works, we know that our customers expect those involved, from the design to the implementation and then the ongoing support, to be experienced and deliver their services to the highest professional standards.
Our technical teams are highly focused and carry multiple certifications. Those certifications reach the highest levels (such as Cisco CCIE) and continually evolve as new technologies evolve. The part that does not change is our engineer’s commitment to learning the latest technologies and Ping continuously supporting this knowledge growth.
One of the ways we support our engineering team and allow them to be experts in their field is by allowing them to specialise once they have the required base knowledge. This allows individuals to gain technology-specific experience through working more often on these technologies and avoids expecting one person to be an expert in every possible network infrastructure product, feature or design scenario.
As a company, we have grown through word of mouth by being honest about where our skills are and not trying to be all things to all people. We firmly believe we have the strongest technical engineering team in the marketplace, and we maintain this by continuing to develop in a focused manner.
We operate three engineering teams;
- Pre-Sales engineering – to provide dedicated design consultancy services as part of a sales engagement.
- Project Engineering – providing project services (installation/upgrades/modifications etc.) post-sale.
- Support Services Engineering – providing ongoing break/fix maintenance, remote support and managed services for our customers.
All teams are certified to the highest technical levels and are disclosure and security cleared. The project engineering team also hold off-shore BOSIET certifications to provide delivery services for our Oil & Gas customers.
Whether Ping has completed the design consultancy activity or not, our Project Engineering team (with integrated Prince 2, Project Managers) are available to lead technical projects for our customers.
From early stages of high-level and low-level designs and change documentation through to project staging, integration, testing, handover and as-built documentation, our Project Engineering team has extensive experience in completing complex projects on time and to the highest standards.
Ad-hoc / Short Term / Long Term Resourcing
Out of committed and scheduled projects, it’s not uncommon for our customers to look to Ping to provide ad-hoc support. This support is in the form of additional resource during busy times or to provide skills not available in-house or as part of backfill requirement. For ad-hoc services, we can provide pre-paid engineering blocks, providing remote or on-site access to our complete skills capability, and this can be called off as and when required.
Over the years, we have been asked many times to increase the ad-hoc services to more regular service, either as short term cover during a busy period or to cover internal absences, or as long term support to provide additional capacity or skill sets.
Whether as a fixed number of days per week or month or as full-time engineering, whether on-site or remote, we have a strong track record of providing Ping Engineering support to our customers on a bespoke basis to fit each need as required.
